What is the difference between warm air and cold air grilles?
Warm air grilles direct the heated air from the heating chamber into the room, while cold air grilles allow room air to flow back in. At Max Blank, warm air grilles are adjustable and cold air grilles are non-adjustable. The MB Lamelle can be used for both warm and cold air.
Which air grilles are adjustable?
MB 9000 and MB 9000 Wendezarge with rotary knob, MB Plano with 1-finger or lever system, MB Putzbündig with 1-finger system, the flush-mounted MB Lamelle with stainless steel frame and all MB Deckengitter models (rotary knob or lever). Non-adjustable versions of MB 9000, Wendezarge, Plano, Putzbündig and Lamelle are also available.
Which installation types does Max Blank offer?
Surface-mounted (MB 9000), Plano – the grille lies flat on the surface (MB Plano, MB Lamelle Plano) – and flush with the plaster, where the front is level with the plaster (MB Putzbündig, MB Lamelle flush-mounted). MB Plano and MB 9000 Wendezarge can be installed in two ways, depending on the frame.
What is the advantage of a reversible frame?
The installation type does not have to be decided in advance: by turning the frame, the grille is installed either surface-mounted or flush with the plaster – the grille itself remains the same. This provides flexibility right up to installation on site.
What does free cross-section mean?
The free cross-section is the area through which air can actually flow. It is smaller than the nominal size because the frame and louvres take up part of the area. For example, an MB 9000 with a nominal size of 23 × 45 cm has a free cross-section of 575 cm². The required cross-section is specified in the instructions for the fireplace.
Which air grilles are suitable for flush-mounted installation?
MB Putzbündig and the flush-mounted MB Lamelle with stainless steel plaster edges, as well as MB Plano and MB 9000 Wendezarge, which can optionally be installed flush with the plaster. For the ceiling, there is the flush-mounted MB Deckengitter. An expansion joint is recommended for the professional installation of flush-mounted grilles.
Are custom sizes available?
Yes, for selected series on request – including MB Lamelle, MB Deckengitter Plano, MB Designgitter, convection frames, flush-mounted inspection hatches and cleaning doors. Custom colours are also possible for some products.
